'Ojek' driver found dead in Bogor

BOGOR: An ojek (motorcycle taxi) driver was found dead with wounds all over his body on Wednesday morning, while his motorcycle was taken away by the alleged murderer.

The body of Zaenal Abidin, 20, was found in a cassava field in the village of Leuwikotok in Pasir Jaya village, Sukaraja district.

Another ojek driver, Koming, said that on Tuesday around 7:30 p.m. he saw Zaenal take a male passenger from the Ciluwer market.

"Later that night, as he had not returned, we were suspicious and tried to find him, but of no avail. In the morning, at 8 a.m., I heard that a dead man was found in the cassava field. When I checked it out, it turned out to be Zaenal," he said.

Zaenal was the second ojek driver in the regency that was killed and whose bike was stolen in the past three days.

On Monday, Asep alias Apek was found dead with severe wounds in Cimanggu village of Cibungbulang district of Bogor regency. -- JP
