The tourist guides come from the tourism awareness group (Pokdarwis) and local residents who serve as trainees under the Directorate of Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy of the IKN Authority,” said OIKN Spokesperson Troy Pantouw in Nusantara on Friday.

Troy, who is also the Special Staff for Communication at OIKN, continued that these tourist guides had previously participated in training and a one-year Internship Actualisation Programme to support public visit services at the Nusantara Public Interest Visit Zone (KIPP).

Of that number, 20 tourist guides have official certification from the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP). For them, this opportunity is a valuable experience, as they can directly introduce IKN to the public.

The tourist guides will accompany visitors who wish to learn more closely about the development progress of IKN, making their presence an important part of the visit services provided in the Nusantara area.

These 25 tourist guides will assist visitors, estimated to number in the thousands per day, to dozens of destinations in Nusantara such as worship areas, office and residential zones, and various public spaces opened as part of the visit experience.

“The State Palace area can even serve as an alternative destination that can be visited with certain capacity arrangements. Specifically for entering the State Palace area, visitors are not allowed to wear sandals—they must wear shoes—and are prohibited from wearing shorts, T-shirts, or sleeveless clothing,” said Troy.
