Nusantara (ANTARA) - The Head of the Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN), Basuki Hadimuljono, stated that the construction of the Legislative and Judicial Complex in Nusantara remains a priority, with work ongoing and targeted for completion by the end of 2027 to early 2028. “The development of the Legislative and Judicial Complex area in the Capital City of Nusantara (IKN) continues in line with President Prabowo Subianto’s directives, with a completion target of 2027–2028,” said Basuki Hadimuljono in Nusantara on Sunday. The project in that area encompasses the construction of several main buildings for state institutions, along with supporting infrastructure and roads to the complex. In the legislative area, the construction is planned to include five main buildings: the Plenary Hall, DPR Building, DPD Building, and MPR Building. Additionally, the construction of a 3.7 km area road is being prepared to support connectivity between one building and another in the complex, with the initial stage of land clearing already carried out. Meanwhile, the judicial area construction is divided into two work packages. The first package includes the construction of the Supreme Court Building along with its supporting area and the Justice Plaza. The second package covers the Constitutional Court Building, judicial area, and mosque. The entire area will be equipped with 8 km of area roads. “The construction of the judicial and legislative institution complex is not included in the efficiency measures. The development continues, so there is no need to doubt,” he said during a site inspection in the area. He also mentioned that water infrastructure strengthening continues through the construction of reservoirs and retention ponds, including the EC-08 reservoir and TR01 retention pond. “The drinking water pipeline network is still in the work process and will be integrated through the Multi-Utility Tunnel (MUT) to support up to the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) of IKN,” said Basuki.
