The presence of the IKN Police Resort is intended to support public services, including security services for the community in the Nusantara area. Nusantara (ANTARA) - The Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) is in the process of clearing 3.24 hectares of land for the construction site of a supporting facility in the form of the IKN City Police Resort (Polresta IKN), located in the Core Government Centre Area (KIPP) of Nusantara. “The presence of the IKN Police Resort, which is currently being prepared, is intended to support public services, including security services for the community in the Nusantara area,” said the Head of OIKN, Basuki Hadimuljono, in Nusantara, East Kalimantan, on Monday. The day before, on Sunday (12/4), he and his team had inspected the planned location for the prospective IKN Police Resort construction to ensure all processes and stages proceed according to the desired schedule. “At present, the initial stage of work has begun through the land clearing process, with a target for completion of the entire first phase of construction by the end of 2027,” Basuki stated. He mentioned that this construction is accompanied by area arrangement and planned land provision, especially to support the smooth development of police facilities in the new capital. “With an area of around 3.24 hectares, this construction area includes several main facilities, such as the main building, mosque, ceremonial field, retention pond, and sports facilities,” he added. The main building is designed as the centre of activities with six main floors equipped with a deck floor and three basement levels. This building is also supported by various operational rooms, such as office spaces, meeting rooms, and other police operational support facilities. In addition, the architectural design has been adapted by integrating various supporting facilities such as a mosque, pedestrian paths, and an amphitheatre function combined as a sports facility stand. During the inspection of the area’s construction readiness, Basuki emphasised that the entire IKN Police Resort construction process must proceed under one command from the IKN Authority. “I convey that all instructions for the IKN Police Resort construction must be under one command, namely from the IKN Authority. Whatever the planning, it must be checked first, investigated, and if necessary, recalculated to avoid any mistakes,” Basuki said. Through comprehensive planning and measured implementation, he said, OIKN wants to ensure that all stages of construction in the Nusantara Area proceed in a directed, integrated, and aligned manner with the planning.
