Officials told to be prepared
JAKARTA (JP): City Council Speaker MH Ritonga said that
administration officials will have to be well prepared morally to
face future developments.
At a Christmas celebration for City Hall employees on
Saturday, he said the officials must not be complacent about
their current achievements.
"Officials who plan and carry out development must improve
their religious lives so that they can work better in the
future," Ritonga said. "Many people are still dissatisfied with
the administration's services."
Ritonga, a former City Police chief, also appealed to the
officials to improve their services to public, Suara Pembaruan
evening daily reported yesterday.
Deputy governor for administrative affairs Idroes shared
Ritonga's opinion. In his speech at the gathering, he said that
improvement in public services must begin with those in charge.
