Officials' appeal should not mislead

A week prior to the Idul Fitri holiday, high officials of the
department of communications said the route from Jakarta to the
east along the north coast would be made one-way for private
motor vehicles.

But we were very disappointed because the one-way route went
only as far as Ciasem, Pamanukan. Further east, a great number of
private motor vehicles used the road in the opposite direction.

We urge officials of the communications department to be more
careful in the future in making statements which are misleading
and may cause traffic snarls at many places on that particularly
busy road.
