Officially Confirmed: Ignasius Jonan Assumes Position as President Commissioner of Soho Global Health

Jakarta – Healthcare and pharmaceutical emitter PT Soho Global Health Tbk (SOHO) has carried out a restructuring of its senior management through an Extraordinary General Shareholders Meeting (RUPSLB) held on Monday, 23 February 2026. SOHO management approved the appointment of former Director General of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI), Ignasius Jonan, as President Commissioner and Independent Commissioner of the company.

According to information disclosure, SOHO management informed shareholders that they had approved the amendment to the Board of Commissioners’ composition as part of measures to strengthen corporate governance. Jonan’s appointment replaces Eng Liang Tan as President Commissioner, whose tenure ended upon conclusion of the RUPSLB.

“Approved the appointment of Board of Commissioners member, Ignasius Jonan, as President Commissioner and Independent Commissioner of the Company,” stated SOHO Management as cited on Wednesday, 25 February 2026.

This former Transport Minister from the Jokowi era has now officially become President Commissioner of SOHO since the conclusion of the RUPSLB. Jonan’s tenure will run for five years until 23 February 2031.

In this RUPSLB, company management also approved the honourable retirement of Eng Liang Tan from his position. Nevertheless, Eng Liang Tan will remain part of the Company’s Board of Commissioners in his new position as Commissioner.

“Approved the honourable retirement of Eng Liang Tan from his position as President Commissioner of the Company, and granted full release and discharge (acquit et de charge) of responsibility for management and supervisory actions that have been carried out,” management stated in the information disclosure.

Furthermore, SOHO management affirmed that there is no material impact from the change in Board of Commissioners members on operational activities, legal matters, financial condition, or business continuity of the company.
