Official Vehicle Operations Cut by 50%, Civil Servants to Use Public Transport
The government is implementing a 50% restriction on the mobility of official vehicles as part of energy efficiency measures amid global dynamics.
This was conveyed by Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto during a press conference on Government Policies in Mitigating Risks and Anticipating Global Dynamics, on Tuesday (31/3/2026).
“Mobility efficiency includes a 50% restriction on the use of official vehicles, except for operational purposes and electric vehicles, and encouraging the use of public transport,” said Airlangga.
The government is also applying work from home (WFH) for central and regional civil servants every Friday. Efficiency measures for official travel are being implemented at 50% for domestic trips and 70% for overseas trips.
