Official School Uniform Regulations for Primary, Secondary, and High Schools from Kemendikdasmen
Ahead of the new academic year, many prospective students are preparing new school uniforms. For primary, junior secondary, and senior secondary or vocational school students, there are uniform regulations that must be observed to ensure compliance with the rules. The national uniform provisions for each educational level are regulated in Permendikbudristek Number 50 of 2022. The details are as follows.
- Primary School Uniform (SD)
Boys
White short-sleeved shirt, with a left pocket, tucked into trousers.
Trousers in deep red, with inside pockets on the left and right.
Short trousers 5 cm above the knee.
Long trousers reaching the ankles.
Black belt, 3 cm wide.
Plain white socks, minimum 10 cm above the ankle.
Black shoes.
Girls
White shirt, with a left pocket, tucked into a skirt.
Deep red skirt, with forward-facing pleats.
Short skirt 5 cm below the knee.
Long skirt reaching the ankles.
Black belt, 3 cm wide.
Plain white socks, minimum 10 cm above the ankle.
Black shoes.
- Junior Secondary School Uniform (SMP)
Boys
White short-sleeved shirt, with a left pocket, tucked into trousers.
Navy blue trousers, with inside pockets on the left and right.
Short trousers 5 cm above the knee.
Long trousers reaching the ankles.
Black belt, 3 cm wide.
Plain white socks, minimum 10 cm above the ankle.
Black shoes.
Girls
White shirt, with a left pocket, tucked into a skirt.
Navy blue skirt, with left and right pleats, and left and right pockets.
Short skirt 5 cm below the knee.
Long skirt reaching the ankles.
Black belt, 3 cm wide.
Plain white socks, minimum 10 cm above the ankle.

- Senior Secondary School Uniform (SMA)
Boys
White short-sleeved shirt, with a left pocket, tucked into trousers.
Long grey trousers, with inside pockets on the left and right, and a minimum hem circumference of 44 cm.
Black belt, 3 cm wide.
Plain white socks, minimum 10 cm above the ankle.
Black shoes.
Girls
White shirt, with a left pocket, tucked into a skirt.
Grey skirt, with a central pleat, and left and right pockets.
Short skirt 5 cm below the knee.
Long skirt reaching the ankles.
Black belt, 3 cm wide.
Plain white socks, minimum 10 cm above the ankle.
Black shoes.
Note: Students who wear a hijab may adjust by wearing a white hijab and long sleeves.
