Official Results for Service School Basic Competency Test Released Immediately; Here Is How to Monitor Them
The Basic Competency Test (SKD) stage for the 2026 Service Schools officially began simultaneously across Indonesia on Tuesday (22/09/2026). A total of 103,647 participants who passed the administrative selection are scheduled to undergo the SKD examination, which will run until 7 October 2026.
The Head of the National Civil Service Agency (BKN), Prof. Zudan Arif Fakrulloh, confirmed that the SKD implementation uses the BKN’s Computer Assisted Test (CAT) system, which is the same system used in the selection process for Prospective Civil Servants (CASN). He stated that the system guarantees a transparent selection process free from external intervention.
“To obtain the best cadres, only the best selection methods can be used. We, the BKN, are initiating this superior selection process. This best selection can be achieved if the best potential of all these children can be unearthed, allowing them to work to their best abilities with results that cannot be intervened,” said Zamin during the opening of the 2026 Service School SKD, held both online and offline at the BKN Head Office in Jakarta.
The BKN has prepared 36 examination locations spread across BKN offices nationwide to reach participants from various regions. These locations include the BKN Head Office, Regional Offices I through XIV, and various BKN Technical Implementation Units (UPT) throughout Indonesia.
Zudan explained that one of the advantages of the BKN CAT system is that participants can learn their exam results immediately after completing all questions. In addition to their scores, participants can also view their position or ranking in the selection results in real-time.
To strengthen transparency, the BKN also provides a live score service that can be accessed by the public via the official YouTube channels of all BKN offices corresponding to each examination location.
According to Zudan, this mechanism is designed so that participants’ abilities can be measured objectively while preventing any potential intervention in the selection process. “Participants only need to rely on their own abilities while taking the exam,” he added.
On this occasion, Zudan also reminded participants not to easily believe parties claiming they can help them pass the selection. He emphasised that the BKN CAT system makes all exam results publicly known, leaving no room for brokerage practices or the manipulation of selection results.
Consequently, participants are urged to focus on preparing themselves, taking the exam calmly, and trusting in their own capabilities.
Specifically at the BKN Head Office location in Jakarta, the first day of the SKD was attended by participants applying to service schools under the auspices of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) and the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG).
The 2026 Service School SKD stage will continue until 7 October 2026 across all examination points prepared by the BKN, from western to eastern Indonesia.
This stage is a crucial process in recruiting prospective cadets and students for service schools, who will eventually be prepared as professional human resources for various government agencies.
