Official praises MTQ preparations
PALU, Central Sulawesi: The chairman of the Koran Recital Development Institute, M. Mubaroq, said on Saturday the local preparations for next year's 19th National Koran Recital Contest were "very satisfactory".
During his official visit to the contest location in the Bumi Roviga area of Palu's Tondo district, Mubaroq said that "all of the instruments and facilities required are in perfect condition."
With the good preparations plus the public's strong support, he said he that the contest, locally known by the abbreviation MTQ, would attract the best contestants from all provinces in the country.
Governor H.B. Paliudju hailed the praise of the official from Jakarta, saying most of the MTQ facilities are already complete, Antara reported.
The contest is expected to be launched by the country's next president. (bsr)
