Official List of PLN Electricity Tariffs Effective July-September 2026
The government, through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), has decided not to increase electricity tariffs for the third quarter of 2026. Minister Bahlil Lahadalia explained that the decision was taken to maintain public purchasing power and support national economic stability amid changing global conditions. “To maintain public purchasing power and support national economic stability, the government has decided that electricity tariffs for Quarter III 2026 will remain unchanged,” Bahlil stated in an official release.
According to Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Regulation Number 7 of 2024, tariff adjustments for 13 non-subsidised customer groups are typically made every three months based on changes in four macroeconomic parameters: the rupiah exchange rate, the Indonesian Crude Price (ICP), inflation, and the Reference Coal Price (HBA). For the third quarter of 2026, the parameters used were realisations from February to April 2026, which recorded an exchange rate of Rp16,959.32 per US dollar, an ICP of US$96.12 per barrel, inflation of 0.21%, and an HBA of US$70 per tonne, in accordance with the Domestic Market Obligation (DMO) policy for coal. Despite the formula indicating a potential for tariff changes, the government opted to keep tariffs steady to safeguard national economic stability.
Bahlil added that in addition to non-subsidised customers, the policy also applies to 24 subsidised customer groups, including social customers, low-income households, small businesses, small industries, and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). “The government is committed to providing reliable, affordable, and equitable electricity. This fixed tariff policy is part of our effort to maintain economic stability while ensuring sustainable electricity services,” he said.
