Official complains of improper e-mails
JAKARTA: Head of the Commodity Future Trading Supervisory
Board complained on Thursday about people who sent improper e-
mails, faxes and letters under his name.
Ridwan Kurnaen, head of the agency, told Antara that he had
received information that many people claiming to be him had sent
faxes, letters, e-mails and even made phone calls giving false
information, from financial gatherings to prostitute spots
available for traders.
Some of the misleading mail, mostly sent to traders, could
make the recipients conflict with each other, he said.
He appealed to the public, especially traders, when receiving
news carrying his name, to confirm it with his office at the
Trade and Industry Ministry, BBD Plaza, 4th floor, Jl. Imam
Bonjol 61, Central Jakarta, or phone 31156315 or 3156369.
He alleged that the misuse of such e-mails was aimed at
ruining the newly established commodity futures trading in
Indonesia. --JP
