Officers Implement Open-Close System for Rest Area at KM 52B on Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road

Karawang (ANTARA) - Officers from PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) along with the police are implementing an open-close system for the rest area at KM 52B towards Jakarta on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road. Vice President of Corporate Secretary & Legal at PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated in Karawang, West Java, on Monday that this open-close system for the rest area is being applied situationally. This is done to anticipate the density of vehicles entering the rest area and to maintain smooth traffic flow on the main toll route. She said that the regulation of access to the KM 52B rest area on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road is carried out based on on-site traffic conditions and coordination with the police. “So, to maintain smooth traffic on the main route and avoid queues of vehicles entering the rest area, the open-close system for the KM 52B rest area towards Jakarta is currently being implemented situationally,” she said. Jasamarga also urges toll road users to prepare their journeys well, including managing time and rest locations before entering the toll route. Along with the implementation of the open-close system for the KM 52B rest area, road users are urged to utilise other rest areas if the KM 52B rest area is temporarily closed. Toll road users are expected to always ensure the condition of their vehicles and drivers are in prime condition before travelling, maintain a safe distance, obey traffic signs and instructions from officers on site, and ensure sufficient electronic money balance.
