Officers Implement "Contraflow" on Japek Toll Road During Long Holiday

Traffic engineering “contraflow” was implemented starting at 08:11 WIB, from KM 55 to KM 65 towards Cikampek on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road (Japek). Karawang (ANTARA) - PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) together with the police carried out traffic engineering “contraflow” on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road following the dense traffic flow during the long holiday period for the Ascension of Jesus Christ on Thursday. Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, in her statement in Karawang, West Java, on Thursday, conveyed that the traffic engineering “contraflow” was carried out at the discretion of the police. The traffic engineering “contraflow” was applied starting at 08:11 WIB, from KM 55 to KM 65 towards Cikampek on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road (Japek). She stated that this step was taken as part of efforts to reduce congestion and maintain the smooth flow of traffic heading to the Cikampek area. According to her, the implementation of “contraflow” is a strategic step in maintaining the smooth flow of vehicles amid the increased traffic volume during the long Ascension Day holiday in 2026. “JTT together with the police continues to monitor traffic conditions in real-time and takes anticipatory measures to ensure that vehicle flow remains smooth, safe, and controlled,” she said. With the high volume of vehicles traversing the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road during this long holiday, JTT urges all road users to plan their travel times well, ensure their vehicles are in prime condition, and confirm sufficient e-money balances before entering the toll road. Road users are also expected to always obey traffic signs and follow the instructions of officers on the ground.
