Officers begin implementing one-way system on Cipali Toll Road towards Jakarta
Subang (ANTARA) - Astra Tol Cipali officers along with the police began implementing a one-way traffic engineering measure on the Cikopo-Palimanan toll road towards Jakarta on Friday morning to maintain smoothness during the Eid al-Fitr return flow. “Starting at 08:47 WIB, the one-way traffic engineering has been implemented partially on the Cipali toll road towards Jakarta, from KM 132 to KM 70,” said Sustainability Management & Corporate Communications Dept. Head of Astra Tol Cipali, Ardam Rafif Trisilo, in Subang, West Java, on Friday. He stated that the one-way traffic engineering on the Cipali toll road towards Jakarta would be extended gradually until reaching the end of the Cipali toll road boundary at KM 188 Palimanan. For the implementation of the one-way extension in the field, according to him, it is situational in accordance with police discretion. Meanwhile, before the one-way engineering was carried out, Astra Tol Cipali officers along with the police carried out sterilisation of the lanes and rest areas. The cleaning (sterilisation) of the lanes and rest areas was carried out about half an hour before the one-way was implemented. Astra Tol Cipali urges all road users to always comply with the instructions of the officers in the field. Based on data from 00:00 WIB to 08:00 WIB on Friday, around 19.7 thousand vehicles have passed through the Cipali toll road towards Jakarta. Meanwhile, for the opposite direction or flow towards Cirebon, 5 thousand vehicles were recorded passing through the Cipali toll road. He conveyed that to maintain safety together, road users are urged not to change lanes or use U-turns during the one-way traffic engineering. If needing to change lanes, please exit through the nearest toll gate and continue the journey by re-entering the desired lane without additional charges. Astra Tol Cipali also reminds all road users to ensure the condition of the vehicle and the driver’s physical state is in prime condition.
