Ofero Launches Carria 1 to Support SME Productivity and Operational Fleets

PT Ofero Technology Indonesia (Ofero), a global electric mobility solutions provider, has officially introduced its latest model, the Carria 1, at the Jakarta Fair Kemayoran 2026. The arrival of this electric motorcycle marks a strategic step by the company to support productive mobility in Indonesia, particularly for business sectors requiring robust and efficient operational vehicles. The Carria 1 is not only designed for personal use but has been specifically developed as a solution for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), last-mile delivery services, logistics businesses, and corporate operational fleet management. The launch is considered highly relevant given the rapid growth of national e-commerce, with the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recording a transaction value of Rp1,288.93 trillion in 2024. Auditya Gunawan, Brand Department of Ofero Indonesia, asserted that the Carria 1 is positioned as more than just a means of transport. ‘We see that electric vehicles have now evolved into instruments of productivity. Through the Carria 1, we want to help MSMEs and local entrepreneurs improve operational efficiency without reducing productivity,’ he said during the launch. With the slogan ‘Work Fast, Carry More’, this motorcycle relies on a combination of durability and carrying capacity. One of its standout features is the dual battery system, which allows the Carria 1 to travel up to 130 kilometres on a single full charge. This range provides peace of mind for couriers or business owners with high daily mobility. To support logistical needs, the Carria 1 has a carrying capacity of up to 200 kilograms. This capability makes it ideal for goods distribution, culinary businesses, and field vehicles. Beyond strength, Ofero has also incorporated modern safety technology to handle various road conditions in Indonesia. Zhaenal Fanani, Retail Training of Ofero Indonesia, added that rider comfort is also a priority. The Carria 1 is equipped with a 6-inch digital panel with an auto brightness feature, keyless NFC access, a USB charging port, and a long seat flexible enough to carry passengers or goods. From an economic perspective, using the Carria 1 offers significant savings for business operators. Based on a simulation of operational use covering 200 kilometres per day, this electric motorcycle is claimed to save up to Rp14.6 million per year compared to a petrol-powered motorcycle. This efficiency includes cheaper energy costs and much lower routine maintenance expenses. Ryan, an online motorcycle taxi rider who attended the launch, expressed appreciation for the motorcycle’s characteristics. ‘For us, the most important things are a powerful motor, comfort for all-day use, and fuel efficiency. The Carria 1 has adequate cargo space which is very helpful when carrying parcels,’ he said. Through the launch of the Carria 1, Ofero reinforces its commitment to providing lithium technology-based mobility solutions relevant to the needs of the Indonesian market. By supporting the national electric vehicle ecosystem, Ofero is optimistic it can accelerate the transformation towards more sustainable transportation while driving productive economic growth in the country.
