Oegroseno to Attend Clarification Meeting on Sepolwan Land Case Today
Former Deputy Chief of the Indonesian National Police, Komjen (Purn) Oegroseno, will attend a clarification meeting with the Corruption Eradication Task Force (Kortas Tipidkor) of the Indonesian National Police regarding the Sepolwan land procurement case on Thursday (30/7) today. Oegroseno was originally scheduled to be questioned on Thursday (23/7). However, he requested a postponement because he had other unavoidable commitments. “So (I will attend the clarification meeting), at 10 o’clock,” Oegroseno said when confirmed on Thursday. Previously, Kortas Tipidkor Polri had again sent a clarification invitation to Oegroseno concerning the Sepolwan land procurement case. “It is not a summons, but a clarification invitation to obtain information scheduled for Thursday, 23 July 2026,” said the Head of Kortas Tipidkor Polri, Inspector General Totok Suharyanto, to reporters on Thursday (23/7). On that occasion, Totok reiterated that the clarification invitation was not an attempt to criminalise the former Deputy Chief of Police, Oegroseno. He explained that the case originated from a public complaint regarding alleged criminal acts in the Sepolwan land procurement process. Totok assured that the investigation process is proceeding in accordance with the applicable legal framework. “So, this investigation is intended to determine whether this incident constitutes a criminal act of corruption or not,” he said. Totok added that the process of inviting someone for clarification is also regulated in Article 16, paragraph 1, letters c and j of the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP) to obtain information as part of the investigation method.
