Oegroseno Ready to Fulfil Kortas Tipidkor Clarification Summons

Former Deputy National Police Chief Komjen (Purn) Oegroseno has stated he is ready to fulfil a clarification invitation from the Police’s Corruption Eradication Corps (Kortas Tipidkor) regarding an alleged corruption case in land procurement. Oegroseno explained that the clarification invitation from Kortas Tipidkor was originally scheduled for Thursday, 16 July, but he was unable to attend. He assured that he would be present if invited again to provide his statement, although he noted that no rescheduling has taken place yet. “Yes, I am ready to attend. I will ask what the incident is about,” Oegroseno told reporters on Tuesday, 21 July. “I will check my schedule first. So, there hasn’t been a summons, just a clarification invitation,” he added. Previously, Kortas Tipidkor had spoken out about the investigation into the land procurement corruption case that also involves the former Deputy National Police Chief. The Head of Operations at Kortas Tipidkor, Commissioner Ahmad Yusuf Afandi, confirmed that his team is investigating the land procurement case for the Sepolwan (Policewomen’s School) in Lembang and Ciputat. He explained that the case is still in the investigation phase to determine whether there is a criminal element in the land procurement. “It is currently still under investigation, and as per the Criminal Procedure Code, an investigation determines whether a criminal act has occurred. So please be patient, we will release the information if a criminal act is found,” he told reporters on Monday, 20 July. On that occasion, he also denied any attempt to criminalise the former Deputy National Police Chief through the summons in this case. “There is absolutely no such thing. We guarantee that law enforcement or any action taken by Kortas Tipidkor is based on existing laws and regulations,” he said.
