Oddities in Polda Metro Press Conference: 5-Hour Delay, KPK Involvement, Yet No Suspect Named

The press conference, originally scheduled for the afternoon, was delayed for approximately five hours, finally commencing around 9:30 PM local time. During the event, police displayed evidence including cash in various currencies, gold bars, computers, and documents, which were seized from several locations, including a house linked to the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes, Febrie Adriansyah. Despite the display of evidence and the examination of 15 witnesses, the police did not announce any suspects. Kabid Humas Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Budi Hermanto, stated that investigators are still working on the case and will announce a suspect in the near future. The investigation is a joint effort between the National Police’s Kortas Tipidkor and the Polda Metro Jaya’s Ditreskrimsus, with the KPK also involved in the process.
