JAKARTA — The Metro Jaya Police have confirmed that the odd-even vehicle restriction policy in Jakarta will remain in effect on Monday 16 March and Tuesday 17 March 2026.

However, the regulation will not be applied during the joint leave period and Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah celebration, from 18 to 25 March 2026.

Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri stated that the policy adjustment takes into account traffic conditions during the extended holiday period.

As part of security operations for Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah through Operation Ketupat, the Metro Jaya Police have prepared security measures at 1,647 locations. Of this total, there are 95 security posts comprising 68 security posts, 22 service posts, and five integrated posts.

Additionally, the Metro Jaya Police have established nine traffic monitoring posts along the Cikampek Toll Road to monitor the movement of homebound travellers.

“We have prepared security and service coverage at 83 economic centres, and there are 11 locations at terminals, railway stations, airports, and ports, consisting of 4 terminals, 4 stations, 2 airports, and 1 port,” Asep explained.

Asep added that security operations will also be conducted at 471 banking offices, 164 pawn shops, and 621 vital installations, including petrol station substations, state electricity company facilities, and Pertamina fuel depots.

“We will also conduct surveys and inspections at 9 recreational sites, including Ancol, Ragunan Zoo, Taman Mini, and other locations,” he said.

These measures are being taken to ensure that the homebound travel movement and public activities during the Lebaran holiday remain safe and smooth.
