Odd-Even Vehicle Plate Restriction Schedule on Tangerang–Merak Toll Road During Eid 2026 Exodus
TANGERANG – A vehicle restriction system based on odd-even registration plates will be implemented on the Tangerang–Merak toll road section during the Eid 2026 holiday exodus and return period.
The policy is based on a joint decree concerning traffic and road transport regulation during the Eid holiday period.
The odd-even system will be applied on the Tangerang–Merak toll road section during the Eid 2026 transport period to regulate vehicle congestion during the exodus period.
“During the Eid transport period, the odd-even system will be applied on the toll road section,” said Deputy Director of Legal Affairs, Banten Regional Police Traffic Directorate, AKBP Himawan Aji Angga, on Tuesday (10 March 2026).
The regulation applies from kilometre 31 to kilometre 98 of the Tangerang–Merak toll road.
During the return period, the same system will apply from Tuesday (23 March 2026) at 00.00 WIB until Sunday (29 March 2026) at 24.00 WIB.
During the return period, restrictions are applied from the Merak toll gate to the Cikupa toll gate, or from kilometre 98 to kilometre 31.
Four-wheeled vehicles with even-numbered plates are only permitted to pass on even dates. Conversely, vehicles with odd-numbered plates are only permitted to pass on odd dates.
“Those not complying with the regulations will be directed to use arterial roads,” said Himawan.
Additionally, travellers are requested to ensure their vehicles are in good condition before departing. Drivers are also reminded to monitor their physical condition during the journey.
“If you are not fit, do not force yourself. If tired, you must rest,” said Himawan.
