Odd-Even Traffic Restriction in Jakarta This Week Operating for Only 2 Days

Jakarta’s traffic restriction with an odd-even number plate scheme will only be enforced for two days this week, namely on Monday (16 March 2026) and Tuesday (17 March 2026).

Subsequently, from 18 to 25 March 2026, the odd-even regulation has been suspended due to the joint public holiday period and Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah (Islamic calendar).

“The odd-even restriction during the Eid holiday has been suspended, from 18 March to 24 March 2026,” said Syafrin Liputo, Head of the Jakarta Transportation Department (Dishub), when contacted by Kompas.com.

Meanwhile, the odd-even regulation on 16–17 March remains in effect in two sessions: morning from 06:00–10:00 WIB and evening until night from 16:00–21:00 WIB.

Motorists who violate this regulation may be subject to traffic violations with a maximum fine of Rp 500,000, in accordance with Article 287 of the Law on Road Traffic and Transport (UU LLAJ).
