Nabire (ANTARA) - The Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force (ODC) provided healthcare services to displaced residents in Gigobak Village, Sinak District, Puncak, Central Papua, on Friday. Head of the Cartenz Peace Operation 2026, Inspector General Faizal Ramadhani, when contacted from Nabire on Friday, stated that the activity is part of efforts to maintain security while providing humanitarian services to the community. “This activity is focused on ensuring that the security situation around the displacement area remains conducive, while also paying attention to the health conditions of the affected community,” he said. He explained that personnel conducted foot patrols by traversing the displacement area to interact directly with residents and identify on-the-ground needs. In addition to patrols, he said, the team also provided healthcare services in the form of examinations and light treatments to the community at the displacement site. “The presence of personnel at the displacement site is a tangible form of concern for the safety and welfare of residents,” he stated. According to him, the activity is part of an integrated strategy in maintaining regional stability, not only from a security aspect but also in fulfilling the community’s basic needs. “Through dialogic patrols and healthcare services, we want to ensure that the community feels safe and cared for, while also strengthening relations between the apparatus and the community,” he said. He added that the activity is expected to help displaced residents carry out activities more calmly as the security conditions in the Sinak District area improve.
