ODC Task Force Ensures Law Enforcement Against KKB Member Pulon Wonda Complies with SOP

Jayapura (ANTARA) - The Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force (Satgas ODC) has ensured that law enforcement against one member of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) named Pulon Wonda complies with standard operating procedures (SOP). “Personnel from the Cartenz Peace Operation Law Enforcement Task Force acted in accordance with SOP during the arrest of (Pulon Wonda) on Tuesday (2/4),” said the Cartenz Peace Operations Chief, Inspector General of Police Faizal Rahmadani, when contacted from Jayapura on Monday. He explained that the shooting of Pulon Wonda’s leg, who was the perpetrator of various shooting and attack actions against both TNI-Polri members and civilians, was carried out because, in addition to resisting, he also attempted to flee when arrested in Pruleme Village, Mulia District, Puncak Jaya Regency, Central Papua. He stated that due to the gunshot wound on his leg, Pulon Wonda is currently being treated at Bhayangkara Hospital in Jayapura after being evacuated from Mulia. The shooting occurred when the entourage of the Papua Police Chief was about to visit the Pirime Police Substation, which had been attacked and burned by KKB the day before, killing three Polri members, including Pirime Police Chief Rolfi Takubessy. He mentioned several cases involving Pulon Wonda, including in 2010, carrying out an ambush and shooting against Ranger Fort vehicle drivers and motorbike taxi riders at Kali Semen Puncak Senyum in Wandenggobak Village, Mulia District, Puncak Jaya Regency. This incident caused Lince Telenggen to suffer a gunshot wound to the head, Yainal and Ahmad Soleha to die, and Yokilekwo to suffer a gunshot wound to his right elbow. Subsequently, in 2010, he carried out an ambush and shooting against Brimob members and the Puncak Jaya Police Resort at the Waterfall in Lumbuk Tingginambut Village, Puncak Jaya Regency, causing three members, namely Bripka Kamarul Huda, Brigadir Adam Anoh, and Brigadir Hairudin Hamid, to suffer gunshot wounds. Next, in 2010, shooting at the entourage of the Papua Police Brimob Chief and the Deputy Head of Intelkam Polda Papua in Sanoba Village, causing Bripda Ahmad Mualam to die from a gunshot wound, as well as Bripda Yadi Prayitno and Brigadir Dwi Haryono to suffer gunshot wounds and shrapnel injuries. Then, on 3 December 2012 in Tiom, Lanny Jaya Regency, shooting civilians that killed Ferdy Turuallo (25 years old), and on 27 November 2012, an attack and burning of the Pirime Police Substation office in Lanny Jaya Regency, which caused the death of the Pirime Police Chief and two of his members, namely Ipda Rolfi Takubessy, Brigpol Jefry Rumkorem, and Briptu Daniel Makuker. On 28 November 2012, a shooting incident against the entourage of Papua Police Chief Inspector General Tito Karnavian in Nambume Village, Pirime District, Lanny Jaya Regency, and in 2014, a shooting in Pirime against TNI-Polri members, causing two personnel to be injured, one of whom was Brigpol Rusdi who was shot in the waist.
