Jayapura (ANTARA) — The Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force (ODC) has confirmed that the investigation of three members of an armed criminal group (KKB), who are suspects in a number of cases in Yahukimo Regency, Papua Pegunungan, has been transferred to the Papua Regional Police headquarters.

“The three KKB members have now arrived and are at the Papua Regional Police’s General Crimes Directorate for further examination,” ODC Public Relations Task Force Chief Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo told ANTARA in Jayapura on Monday.

He explained that the three KKB members were flown from Dekai on Monday (23 February) and were first taken to Bhayangkara Hospital for health checks before being brought to the Papua Regional Police’s Special Crimes Directorate in Jayapura.

He said one of the three KKB members whose investigation has been transferred is Homi Heluka, a suspect in multiple shooting and attack cases targeting security personnel and civilians.

Homi Heluka, also known as Serius Kobak, has been linked to several cases including the shooting of a Mobile Brigade (Brimob) officer in 2022, the burning of a Community Guidance Unit vehicle in 2025, the murder of a gold panner on 7 April 2025, the shooting of a member of Military District Command 1715 on 16 June 2025, the murder of Daniel Datti and the destruction of Yapesli Senior High School on 2 February 2026, as well as the shooting of a driver named Suwono on 12 February 2026.

Additionally, KKB member Kotor Payage, also known as Kotoran Giban, is suspected of involvement in the attempted murder and shooting of Suwono on 12 February 2026, whilst Enage Hiluka is suspected of involvement in the stabbing of betel nut seller Ester Karbeka on 17 February 2026 — an incident that went viral due to CCTV footage — as well as the murder of Indra Guru Wardana on 22 September 2025.
