Octo Mobile Error, Bank CIMB Niaga: We Are Addressing It
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk has issued a statement regarding the error or disruption in its mobile banking application, Octo Mobile, which has been occurring since this afternoon on Thursday (30/4/2026). Corporate Communications Head of Bank CIMB Niaga, Hery Kurniawan, said that the bank is currently endeavouring to restore the Octo Mobile service. “At present, we are conducting a comprehensive follow-up to ensure that the service can be used again as soon as possible,” he told Kompas.com on Thursday. He suggested that customers conduct transactions via the OCTO website service through the link www.cimbocto.co.id and the nearest CIMB Niaga ATMs while the Octo Mobile app is being repaired. “We understand the inconvenience experienced by customers due to the disruption in the OCTO app service,” he said. Citing posts from Bank CIMB Niaga customers on social media platform X, complaints about the Octo Mobile error have been appearing since 11.24 WIB earlier. “Is OCTO Mobile @CIMBNiaga down? Can’t log in/transaction during lunch hour like this. Anyone else?” wrote the account #txtsobat. “Why maintenance at this hour, sis????????? It’s working hours at the end of the month, oh god please I really need this OCTO right now,” wrote the account @kaku. “@CIMBNiaga, is there no formal notice of downtime for Octo Mobile and Octo web??” wrote the account @Paz. Meanwhile, the official X account of Bank CIMB Niaga, @CIMBNiaga, has provided an explanation regarding the Octo Mobile error. The bank stated that the Octo Mobile app is experiencing a temporary disruption. The company is also addressing this issue to ensure the service can be used again as soon as possible. “We apologise for this inconvenience and thank you for your patience,” wrote the @CIMBNiaga account.
