Ocean Liner from Holland

JAKARTA (JP): The Ocean Majesty liner with 450 Dutch passengers is scheduled to arrive at Tanjung Priok port today.

The passengers, most of whom used to reside and work in Indonesia during the Dutch colonial era, will be welcomed at the port by Dutch Ambassador to Indonesia Brouwer accompanied by Director General of Tourism Andi Mappisameng.

Their arrival is part of a 17-day trip in Indonesia. The liner anchored in Medan on March 1 to 3 and will later visit Semarang in Central Java, Surabaya in East Java and Bali before leaving for Holland via Singapore on March 17.

The Sailing to the East cruise is the first in a scheduled passenger ship link between the Netherlands and Indonesia.

The ship, which is chartered by SOC-Reizen, the tour operator of PT Travel Contacts, departed from Amsterdam on Feb. 5. (hhr)
