Observer Rates Teddy's Effectiveness in Coordinating President's Priority Programmes
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Director of Rumah Politik Indonesia, Fernando Emas, believes that Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya is capable of performing government coordination functions effectively, thereby assisting in the implementation of President Prabowo Subianto’s priority programmes and agendas.
According to Fernando, Teddy’s capacity to prepare, coordinate, and follow up on presidential directives to ministers is a key factor supporting the effectiveness of the Red and White Cabinet’s work.
“Despite his young age, Teddy is already able to carry out the duties of Cabinet Secretary entrusted to him by Prabowo Subianto,” Fernando stated in Jakarta on Sunday.
He noted that Teddy’s coordination skills help ensure various government programmes meet their targets. He added that the function of the Cabinet Secretariat plays a vital role in bridging communication and policy follow-up between ministries.
Fernando also observed that Teddy chooses to respond to personal criticisms and attacks through performance rather than engaging in public polemics.
“Statements made by political elites, social media users, or observers are not met with reactivity or words, but with work, work, and more work,” he said.
In addition to his ability to manage government coordination, Fernando believes Teddy possesses the ability to build communication with various groups, which can support the effective implementation of government policies.
Fernando stated that every citizen has an equal right to earn trust and serve through public office, provided they meet the required competencies.
“As an Indonesian citizen, Teddy certainly has the right to be trusted by President Prabowo Subianto in his administration,” he said.
Fernando assessed that Teddy’s educational background, work experience, and proximity to national decision-making environments serve as assets supporting his capacity as Cabinet Secretary.
He also dismissed the notion that Teddy’s career was built solely on his closeness to President Prabowo. According to him, the position was earned based on academic ability, achievement, and dedication relevant to the needs of the government.
“It is very wrong to assume that Teddy’s career was manufactured due to his closeness to Prabowo; rather, he deserves it based on the academic ability, achievement, and dedication that are highly needed from someone involved in building this nation,” Fernando concluded.
