Nutritious Food Package Distribution in Palembang During Ramadhan Subject to School Agreement

“Although in accordance with the regulations, the adjustment to the distribution of MBG (nutritious food packages) during Ramadan refers to BGN Circular No. 3 of 2026, such as the healthy food package distributed every three days. However, the practical implementation in the field can be based on coordination between the school and the SPPG (school nutrition improvement programme),” said the Head of the Palembang Nutritional Service Office, Nurya Hartika Sari, in Palembang on Tuesday.

“The distribution of MBG does not necessarily have to be done all at once every three days,” she said.

She explained that this MBG distribution policy was implemented as a form of schedule adjustment during the month of Ramadan 1447 Hijri/2026 AD.

Previously, MBG was distributed daily in the form of ready-to-eat meals, but now the distribution is adjusted to every three days or can be agreed upon with a dry food menu, also known as a healthy food package.

“Through this policy, it is hoped that the MBG programme during the holy month of Ramadan will continue to run in accordance with the regulations and continue to provide benefits to students in this region,” said Nurya Hartika.
