Nutrition Service Unit Employee Dismissed After Disrespectful WhatsApp Status About Citizens
An employee of the Nutrition Fulfilment Service Unit (SPPG) at Karangreja Tlahab Lor 1 in Purbalingga has been dismissed after publishing a WhatsApp status that read “Just complaining, before facing comments from ungrateful common folk.” The employee has since issued an apology for the controversy caused.
“Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. Regarding my post which ultimately caused a stir, I sincerely apologise,” the employee wrote in a statement captured in a screenshot, quoted by detikJateng on Tuesday (16 March 2026).
The employee acknowledged that the WhatsApp status was inappropriate and admitted that the language used was unsuitable. “If my words have hurt anyone, from the depths of my heart and with complete sincerity, I apologise. This will be a lesson for me to be more careful in my actions, speech, or choice of words. Once again, I sincerely apologise,” the employee stated.
Screenshots of the status were shared on the Instagram account @infopurbalingga.id, which prompted various reactions from social media users. Mei Sandra, the Regional Coordinator of SPPI for Purbalingga District, confirmed that the employee has been dismissed. Sandra also apologised for the incident and expressed hope that all SPPG staff in Purbalingga would refrain from repeating such conduct.
