Nusuk Card Prerequisite for Hajj, Ministry Explains Its Benefits
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, RIYADH – The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has emphasised that the Nusuk card is a fundamental pillar of Hajj season organisation. “The Nusuk card is an official document that guarantees the legal status of pilgrims and enables them to perform rituals smoothly, within an integrated system aimed at improving service efficiency and achieving the highest standards of organisation and security at the holy sites,” stated the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, quoted from the Saudi Gazette website, Thursday (9/4/2026). The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah explained that the Nusuk card is the primary tool for regulating pilgrims’ entry to Makkah and the Masjidil Haram, in addition to facilitating their movement between holy sites. This enhances the smoothness of movement and reduces congestion, in line with precise operational plans for crowd management. As part of its digital transformation, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has provided a digital version of the Nusuk card through the Nusuk and Tawakkalna apps. This allows Hajj pilgrims to access their data instantly and simplifies verification processes as well as access to related Hajj services at any time. The Ministry explained, via its account on the X platform, that the card is distributed through approved service providers to each pilgrim. The Ministry urges pilgrims to immediately contact the relevant company if they have not received their cards so that procedures can be completed before starting Hajj rituals without obstacles.
