Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Nusron Wahid has urged Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) to participate in spreading tangible benefits to society. NU’s usefulness can be measured through several key areas that represent the implementation of prayers after salat.

The invitation was delivered during a halalbihalal event and the handover of wakaf land certificates to the Indramayu Branch Management of Nahdlatul Ulama (PCNU). According to him, anything that brings benefits will have endurance and relevance in societal life.

“The only way for NU is to provide benefits to humanity, and anything that provides benefits to humans will surely endure on earth,” said Nusron in his statement on Sunday (19/4/2026).

He explained that NU’s benefits can be realised through various sectors, from religious to health and economic fields. In the religious sector, NU is expected to continue strengthening da’wah and taklim assemblies.

Meanwhile, in the health sector, NU’s role can be expanded through the provision of clinic and hospital services. In the economic field, strengthening business units.

He encouraged the young generation of NU to master the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). According to him, mastery of these fields is key to achieving national self-reliance, particularly in food, energy, and technology sectors.

“If we want to endure on this earth, we must provide benefits; the form is no longer just prayers, but clinics or hospitals, establishing BPRs, and the output of education at least STEM,” he stated.

On that occasion, Nusron also handed over two wakaf land certificates to the Chairman of PCNU Indramayu, K.H. Muhammad Musthopa. The certificates are intended for the NU management building in Karanganyar Ward and Segaran Kidul Village, with areas of 1,665 square metres and 519 square metres respectively.

The Chairman of PCNU Indramayu expressed gratitude and appreciation for the support provided. He admitted to feeling relieved and happy about the completion of the asset certification process.

“Alhamdulillah, relieved and happy. I express my thanks, especially to Mr Minister of ATR/Head of BPN, Nusron Wahid, and also thanks to the BPN at the West Java Province level. I also thank the Head of the Indramayu Regency Land Office BPN who took the time to process the NU building certificates perfectly,” said K.H. Muhammad Musthopa.

Accompanying Minister Nusron at the event were the Head of the West Java Province BPN Regional Office, Yuniar Hikmat Ginanjar, along with his staff. Also present were the Chairman of PWNU West Java and representatives from several related ministries/institutions.
