Nusron Wahid Responds to KPK Corruption Investigation into ATR/BPN
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Nusron Wahid, has responded to the Corruption Eradancy Commission’s (KPK) investigation into alleged corruption within his ministry.
Met in Jakarta on Friday, Nusron stated that he respects the legal process being conducted by the KPK regarding the investigation into alleged land mafia cases.
“First, we respect what is being processed by the law enforcement agencies, in this case, the KPK. We will also follow and assist in the existing process here,” he said.
He emphasised that the Ministry of ATR/BPN will follow and assist all legal processes carried out by the KPK as a form of support for law enforcement and the eradication of corruption.
According to Nusron, the legal process is expected to serve as a momentum to accelerate service improvements within land offices to ensure governance becomes better, more transparent, and accountable to the public.
“Hopefully, with this incident, there will be an accelerated process of service improvement within the internal land offices. I believe that,” he remarked.
Responding to questions regarding the mention of his name in the case, Nusron chose to leave the investigation entirely to the KPK as the institution authorised to conduct law enforcement.
He asserted that the entire ongoing investigation is the authority of law enforcement agencies, and therefore, any developments in the case should await official results from the KPK.
Nusron continued that the Ministry of ATR/BPN is committed to being cooperative throughout the investigation and supports law enforcement measures to strengthen the integrity of land services in Indonesia.
“We are following this process and leaving it entirely to the KPK as the law enforcement agency,” he said.
Previously, the KPK conducted a sting operation (OTT) in the Jabodetabek area on 14 September 2026. The operation was related to alleged corruption in the processing of building rights (HGB) for PT Summarecon Agung Tbk in Bogor Regency, West Java.
A day later, the KPK named eight individuals as suspects in the alleged bribery case within the Ministry of ATR/BPN. These include the Director General of Land and Space Control and Order at the Ministry of ATR/BPN, Lampri; the Head of the Bogor Regency I Land Office, Sontang Coin Manurung; the President Director of PT Summarecon Agung Tbk, Adrianto Pitojo Adhi; and Rizal Pahlevi, representing the private sector or as a middleman for Summarecon.
Other suspects include the former Regent of Kebumen, Arif Sugiyanto; the Chairman of the Golkar Party DPP, Fahd El Fouz, also known as Fahd Arafiq; and private individuals named Erwin and Muhammad Fakhram. The latter four are alleged to be trusted associates of Minister of ATR/BPN Nusron Wahid.
On 17 September 2026, KPK investigators searched the offices of Lampri, the Director General of Land and Space Survey, Mapping, and Spatial Planning, Virgo Eresta Jaya, the Director General of Land Rights Determination and Registration, Asnaedi, as well as directorates related to the case.
However, the KPK confirmed that they did not search Nusron Wahid’s office.
