Nusantara Snack Trail: Concrete Steps by the Coordinating Ministry for Community Empowerment to Elevate MSMEs
The Coordinating Ministry for Community Empowerment (Kemenko PM) continues to strengthen its commitment to building a resilient and competitive ecosystem for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through the Nusantara Snack Trail Festival, which will be held from 6-8 March 2026 at the South-West Car Park, Gelora Bung Karno Complex, Senayan, Jakarta. The festival is designed not only as a culinary promotional event but as a model of economy empowerment based on collaboration and capacity building for business actors. Leontinus Alpha Edison, Deputy for Community Economic Empowerment and Protection of Migrant Workers at Kemenko PM, said that strengthening market access is the main focus in the MSME empowerment strategy. “The main focus of Kemenko PM is to strengthen the MSME ecosystem by opening broader market access through curating high-quality and highly competitive products,” Leontinus said in a written statement on Tuesday (03/03). In this Nusantara Snack Trail festival, more than 40 curated MSME stalls will participate, offering a variety of Nusantara snacks that reflect the nation’s rich culinary heritage and the creativity of local entrepreneurs. Festival Jejak Jajanan Nusantara becomes an opportunity for MSMEs that have never participated in bazaars or festivals to introduce their products directly to the public. “This effort is also an opportunity for MSMEs that have not previously participated in bazaar or festival activities to market and introduce their products directly to the public,” he added. UMKM CLINIC As part of the comprehensive effort, the Kemenko PM presents the UMKM Clinic and the HKI Clinic (Intellectual Property Rights) within the Nusantara Snack Trail Jejak Jajanan Nusantara. The UMKM Clinic is a free mentoring, consultation, and facilitation centre to increase the capacity of micro, small, and medium business actors. This clinic is a vital instrument to ensure MSMEs have a legal, professional, and sustainable business foundation. In addition, the HKI Clinic provides consultation and facilitation for intellectual property registrations, such as trademarks, patents, copyrights, and industrial designs. Protecting the works and innovations of MSME actors is considered essential to prevent piracy and to increase added value and market confidence in local products. Leontinus emphasised that empowerment success cannot be achieved partially; it requires strong collaboration among government, private sector, and the community. “We believe that with solid synergy, the Nusantara Snack Trail can become a model of empowerment that not only moves the wheels of community economy but also strengthens identity and pride in the nation’s products,” he emphasised. NGABUBURUN As part of the series of activities, on Sunday (8/3) a NgabubuRun of 5 kilometres will be held with Coordinating Minister for PM A. Muhaimin Iskandar, involving running communities and the wider public. The event is a symbol of collaboration between government and the public in building a spirit of togetherness, a healthy lifestyle, and simultaneously supporting the activity of local MSMEs. Active public participation in NgabubuRun is expected to further strengthen the inclusive atmosphere of the festival and boost visits to the participating MSME stalls. (Ant/E-2) The Coordinating Ministry for Community Empowerment will again host the Nusantara Snack Trail Festival 2026 on 6–8 March at GBK Senayan, Jakarta.
