Nusantara legislative and judicial complexes to finish by 2028: OIKN
“The construction of the legislative and judicial complexes in Nusantara continues in line with President Prabowo Subianto’s directive,” he said on Sunday.
The project includes several main government buildings, along with supporting infrastructure and access roads.
In the legislative area, construction will cover four main structures: the Plenary Building and office buildings for the House of Representatives (DPR), the Regional Representative Council (DPD), and the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR).
The Plenary Building will serve as the central hub with a capacity of up to 1,579 people. Its design is currently being finalized and awaits presidential approval.
A 3.7-kilometer road is also being prepared, with land clearing already completed.
Meanwhile, the judicial complex is divided into two packages. The first includes the Supreme Court (MA) building, supporting facilities, and the Plaza of Justice.
The second package covers the Constitutional Court (MK) building and a mosque, supported by an 8-kilometer internal road network.
Basuki reaffirmed that the project remains a priority despite ongoing budget efficiency measures.
He also noted that water infrastructure development continues in North Penajam Paser and Kutai Kartanegara through the construction of small dams and retention ponds, including EC-08 and TR01.
“The potable water network is under construction and will be integrated through a Multi-Utility Tunnel (MUT) to support the government core area,” he said.
