Nusantara Attracts $85M Investment from Three Firms

RRI.CO.ID, Nusantara - The Nusantara Capital Authority (Otorita IKN) has signed three new investment agreements, along with two addenda to existing agreements, to strengthen housing and economic sectors in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) of Nusantara. The signing took place at the Nusantara Capital Authority Office on Monday, 16 March 2026.
The new agreements were signed with PT Hauptstadt Indonesia Borneo, PT Starbright International Investment, and PT Oceans Resto Nusantara, with a total investment estimated at IDR 1.275 trillion (around $85 million USD). Meanwhile, addenda agreements were signed with PT Balikpapan Ready Mix and PT Citadel Group Indonesia, following Constitutional Court Decision No. 185/PUU-XXII/2024.
The agreements cover the development of residential units and supporting facilities such as apartments, office spaces, restaurants, cafeterias, and sports centers. Head of Nusantara Capital Authority, Basuki Hadimuljono, expressed appreciation for the trust shown by investors.
“I sincerely thank all our partners for investing in Nusantara. We still need more investments in hotels, logistics, and restaurants. With the upcoming Taruna Nusantara High School and the construction of legislative and judicial areas, the city’s ecosystem will continue to grow until 2028,” said Basuki Hadimuljono.
The Authority continues to support ease of doing business and faster permit processes for investors. Basuki Hadimuljono emphasized that now is the ideal time to explore business opportunities in the new capital.
Among the investors, CEO of PT Starbright International Investment, Lu Keming, said, “As the founding president of the Hainan Chamber of Commerce, we will actively promote investment projects in Nusantara to attract more investors. We are honored to invest here and optimistic that Nusantara will become one of the world’s most beautiful cities.”
PT Hauptstadt Indonesia Borneo will build a plane-themed cafe with lounge and mini-sports facilities starting in Q3 2026. PT Oceans Resto Nusantara, a leading seafood restaurant in Balikpapan, will start planning its new restaurant in Q2 2026. PT Starbright International Investment will develop apartments, restaurants, retail, and office areas starting Q2 2027.
