The Nusa Jaya Tumbuh Bersama Foundation, together with the Lamongan Regency branch of IKSPI Kera Sakti, has launched a tree-planting movement as a demonstration of environmental stewardship and a tangible effort to green the nation. Hundreds of tree seedlings were planted at the IKSPI Kera Sakti Lamongan secretariat as an initial step towards creating a greener, healthier, and more sustainable environment. Ahmad Muhlis Fanani, founder of the Nusa Jaya Tumbuh Bersama Foundation, stated that this movement represents the foundation’s commitment to ensuring all elements of society can grow together through concrete action in protecting the environment. He noted that issues such as climate change, deforestation, and the increasing risk of natural disasters cannot be resolved through discourse alone, but require the involvement of all community elements. ‘Planting trees is an investment for the future. We want to encourage the community to start with simple steps that have a significant impact on the earth. This movement proves that environmental concern must be realised through concrete action,’ he said. Through this initiative, the foundation hopes that the spirit of environmental stewardship can become a collective movement for the Indonesian people. With collaboration across various elements of the nation, greening efforts will not merely be ceremonial activities. ‘We are determined that this movement will become a culture that preserves nature, improves environmental quality, and bequeaths a greener earth to future generations,’ Muhlis added.
