Nus Kei Stabbed to Death at Airport, Two Suspects Arrested

Police have arrested two suspected perpetrators of the stabbing of the Chairman of the Golkar Party’s Southeast Maluku Branch, Agrapinus Rumatora alias Nus Kei, at Karel Sadsuitubun Ibra Airport in Southeast Maluku, Maluku. Nus Kei died as a result of the stabbing incident. “We have arrested two suspected perpetrators following the stabbing that killed the Chairman of the Golkar Party’s Southeast Maluku Branch, Agrapinus Rumatora alias Nus Kei,” said the Head of Public Relations of the Maluku Regional Police, Commissioner Rositah, quoted from detikSulsel on Sunday (19/4/2026). The two suspected perpetrators were arrested less than two hours after the stabbing at 11:25 WIT. They are now undergoing intensive examination. “Currently, the two are undergoing intensive examination by investigators from the Southeast Maluku Police Resort Criminal Investigation Unit,” she explained. Rositah has not yet provided further details regarding the motive for the stabbing. “Regarding the motive, it is still being investigated further by the investigators,” she stated.
