Nurkholisoh Ibnu Aman and Luky Alfirman Appointed as Indonesian Deputy Finance Ministers
President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated two new officials into the leadership of the Indonesian Ministry of Finance, namely Nurkholisesoh Ibnu Aman and Luky Alfirman, as Deputy Finance Ministers of the Republic of Indonesia on Thursday (1/10/2026). Nurkholisoh and Luky expressed their commitment to assisting the strategic operations of the state treasurer.
Luky is known to be a veteran within the Ministry of Finance. He began his career at the Ministry of Finance in March 1995, having previously served as the Head of the Centre for State Budget Policy, Head of the Macroeconomic Policy Centre at the Fiscal Policy Agency (BKF), and Head of the Policy Analysis and Harmonisation Centre.
Luky served as the Director General of Fiscal Balance in 2022, and subsequently as the Director General of Budget in 2025. However, in April 2026, Luky was removed from his position as Director General of Budget by the Minister of Finance at that time, Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa.
Meanwhile, Nurkholisoh Ibnu Aman is a long-standing figure in the monetary sector. She has had an extensive career at Bank Indonesia (BI) and has served as a Senior Researcher at BI since November 2024. In that position, she led research projects regarding policy and financial markets.
Following their inauguration at the State Palace, both officials proceeded to the Ministry of Finance office in the Lapangan Banteng area, Central Jakarta. Minister of Finance Suahasil Nazara was also present, travelling from the State Palace alongside them.
“I am very happy to be back here; I cannot stop expressing my gratitude to God that, by His will, I can return to this place. If you ask how I feel, it is a mixture of emotions—excited, but also a bit surprised,” Luky told reporters at the Ministry of Finance Complex, Jakarta, on Thursday (1/10/2026).
Luky noted that there are various challenges to be faced in the future. He stated his commitment to assisting the Minister of Finance in performing duties as the state treasurer. He touched upon his period of absence from the Ministry of Finance, emphasising that he would need to re-study the current dynamics within the Ministry.
“I had a period of hibernation. Therefore, I need time and support to catch up, to update myself, and to keep pace with current developments. When I was asked, ‘What is your programme as Deputy Finance Minister?’, I replied, ‘There is none.’ The Deputy Finance Ministers are assistants to the President and assistants to the Minister of Finance. We await assignments from the Minister,
