Nurdiansyah Alasta Enters Race for Chair of Democratic Party's Aceh Chapter
Nurdiansyah Alasta has officially registered as a candidate for the chairmanship of the Aceh Regional Executive Board (DPD) of the Democratic Party for the 2026–2031 period at the party’s Aceh office. The registration was made on the same day as the birthday of Democratic Party Chairman Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY).
The candidacy documents were submitted directly and received by Dalimi, a representative of the Steering Committee for the party’s fifth Regional Conference (Musda V), along with the organising committee. Nurdiansyah was accompanied during the submission by Teuku Syahwal, Chairman of the Democratic Party’s Pidie District Executive Board (DPC).
After completing the registration process, Nurdiansyah expressed his commitment to following all stages of the Musda and his strong determination to bring glory to the party in Aceh. ‘I remain passionate about politics, especially in growing the Democratic Party in Aceh. I want to continue contributing to this party I love,’ he said. He also praised the solidarity of Democratic Party cadres and administrators at all levels, viewing the Musda V as a crucial step to strengthen internal unity and consolidate ahead of future political challenges.
Teuku Syahwal, Chairman of the Pidie DPC, voiced his support and stressed that the Democratic Party upholds the values of openness and democracy. He expressed hope that the Musda V would serve as a catalyst for togetherness. ‘We hope this Musda becomes a space for mature, healthy, and elegant political education. The contest of ideas to advance the party is very important,’ Syahwal stated. He also cautioned that the contest should be purely a battle of ideas and warned against any manoeuvres involving claims of carrying ‘orders from seniors’. All participants must adhere to party mechanisms, prioritise deliberation, and submit to the final decision of Chairman AHY.
