Numerous Frauds Related to MBG Kitchen Locations: BGN Urges Reporting to SAGI 127
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) is encouraging the public to report any indications of fraud, extortion, or individuals claiming to represent BGN officials or the government in the process of applying for locations for Nutritional Service Units (SPPU).
The Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Sony Sonjaya, stated that they have opened a channel for public complaints through the SAGI 127 hotline to oversee the implementation of the Free Nutritious Food program (MBG).
“Public reports are very important so that alleged fraudulent practices can be immediately followed up and prevent more victims,” said Sony in a press release, Sunday (May 17, 2026).
He emphasized that all application and verification processes for locations in the MBG program are carried out according to official mechanisms, without any fees.
Therefore, the public is asked not to easily believe individuals who offer fast tracks, assistance with approval, or certain processing services in exchange for money.
“If anyone claims they can expedite the process by asking for a fee or claiming to represent certain officials, immediately report it through the SAGI 127 hotline,” said Sony.
Previously, Sony revealed that there were individuals suspected of offering processing services, accelerating registration, and verifying SPPU locations while claiming to represent BGN officials, the government, or relatives and associates of certain officials.
“BGN asks all levels to actively carry out prevention and investigation if they find information, suspicions, or clues in the form of documents, evidence of conversations, chats, or communication on social media that leads to these fraudulent practices,” said Sony.
The first case is Police Report Number LP/B/5/I/2026/SPKT/West Java Police dated January 6, 2026, which was handled by the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) of the West Java Police.
Sony mentioned that there were 21 victims in that police report and investigators have named a suspect.
Secondly, there is Complaint Report Number P/131/II/2026/Reskrim dated February 16, 2026, which was handled by the East Lombok Police, with witness examination status.
Thirdly, there is Police Report Number LP/B/162/IV/2026/SPKT/Barelang Police/Riau Islands Police dated April 17, 2026, which is currently also being handled by law enforcement officials.
