Number of Passengers Arriving at Kampung Rambutan Terminal Continues to Increase
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The management of Kampung Rambutan Terminal in East Jakarta recorded that the number of arriving passengers reached 4,597 people by Sunday afternoon, an increase compared to the same time on Saturday (28/3). “We recorded up to 4:00 PM WIB, 4,597 passengers arrived with 135 inter-provincial buses,” said the Head of Kampung Rambutan Terminal, Revi Zulkarnain, in Jakarta on Sunday. According to him, this number is higher than the number of passengers arriving at Kampung Rambutan Terminal on Saturday (28/3), which was 3,184 passengers using 165 buses. The homecoming flow is still seen as busy with passengers, with departures recorded at 810 passengers using 62 bus units by Sunday afternoon. On Saturday (28/3), 1,061 people departed from this terminal to various regions using 148 buses. He added that passengers for homecoming and return travel at Kampung Rambutan Terminal are dominated by destinations to Surabaya, Malang, Yogyakarta, Tegal, Pekalongan, Purwokerto, Wonosobo, Cilacap, then Garut, Tasikmalaya, and Cianjur for Java Island. Meanwhile, for the Sumatra area, the most popular destinations include Padang, Palembang, Bengkulu, and Lampung. Services at Kampung Rambutan Terminal during the homecoming and return transportation period, said Revi, are running smoothly without any significant obstacles. The situation at Kampung Rambutan Terminal on Sunday afternoon is still busy with passenger buses from various regions, both from Java Island and Sumatra, arriving and departing.
