Number of international participants continues to rise at sixth CICPE
Beijing (ANTARA) - International participants will account for 65 per cent of the total participants at the sixth China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE), up 20 percentage points from last year. “More than 3,400 brands from more than 60 countries and regions will take part in the upcoming expo, which will be held in Hainan Province in southern China from 13 to 18 April,” said China’s Vice Minister of Commerce Sheng Qiuping at a press conference on Monday. As the guest country of honour this year, Canada will present nearly 40 companies to showcase a variety of products, such as cosmetics, agricultural products, and pet food. Official delegations from 12 countries and regions, including Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and Ireland, will participate in the event. In addition, among other countries, Russia and Bulgaria will establish national pavilions at the expo for the first time. Organised jointly by China’s Ministry of Commerce and the Hainan provincial government, this year’s CICPE marks the first edition of the event since the Hainan Free Trade Port fully launched special customs operations across the entire island.
