NU Scholars Strengthen Intellectual Tradition Through Book Review of KH Zulfa Musthofa's Work
Ulama, Islamic boarding school caretakers, and members of the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) regional board across East Java have reinforced the organisation’s intellectual tradition through a scholarly review of the book Ithafu Ummatil Muqtafa by KH Zulfa Mustofa. The event was held at the Darul Ulum Islamic Boarding School in Peterongan, Jombang, as part of preparations for the 2026 NU National Conference (Munas) and Grand Conference (Konbes) in Ploso, Kediri.
The book review was attended by Syuriah and Tanfidziyah officials from PCNU branches across East Java, pesantren caretakers, and observers of Islamic studies. The author, KH Zulfa Mustofa, and the Deputy Rais Aam of PBNU, KH Afifuddin Muhajir, served as speakers.
KH Zulfa Mustofa stated that Jombang, through Unipdu and the Darul Ulum Foundation, is participating in the series of events leading up to the Munas and Konbes NU in Ploso. He explained that the book Ithafu Ummatil Muqtafa was written over approximately eight years, beginning during the Covid-19 pandemic, and represents one of several scholarly works he completed in that period.
