NU Care-LAZISNU Distributes Kurban to 3T Areas, Disaster-Affected Regions, and Palestine

NU Care-LAZISNU continues to expand its kurban distribution reach through the Nusantara Berqurban: Qurban Mendamaikan 1447 H/2026 M programme. This year, kurban meat distribution reaches 92 districts across Indonesia, including remote, border, and outermost regions (3T), disaster-affected areas, and Muslim minority communities. The initiative also extends to conflict zones in Palestine and Jordan. Speaking to Media Indonesia today, NU Care-LAZISNU Executive Director Riri Khariroh stated that the kurban programme has always focused on reaching communities historically underserved by aid. ‘The kurban programme successfully reaches 3T areas, outermost, border, and remote regions. From the outset, our primary focus has been on distributing sacrificial animals in eastern Indonesia, including Papua, Nusa Tenggara, Kalimantan, Buru Island, and Maluku,’ Riri said in Jakarta. Riri added that disaster-affected regions remain a key priority for NU Care-LAZISNU’s humanitarian aid, including through kurban distribution. ‘Alongside Indonesia’s 3T areas, disaster-affected regions are another key concern for us to assist, such as Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra,’ she said. In addition to remote and disaster-hit areas, NU Care-LAZISNU distributes kurban animals to conflict zones in Palestine. ‘We collaborate with local organisations in Palestine to provide this kurban programme to the Palestinian people. We send it there every year, and this year we have again entrusted cattle and sheep for Eid al-Adha in Palestine,’ she explained. ‘We adjust the prices according to local rates and transfer funds for animal procurement there, so the meat can be enjoyed by those affected by the genocide in Palestine,’ she added. Riri also noted that kurban aid is sent to Jordan through collaboration with PCINU Jordan, which has been actively assisting Palestinian refugees. ‘Our PCINU Jordan colleagues have been helping Palestinian refugees in Jordan’s camps, and we also distribute kurban animals there,’ she concluded. The 92 Indonesian districts receiving NU Care-LAZISNU’s kurban distribution include Malang, Pati, Tangerang, Aceh Singkil, West Pasaman, Pontianak, Sampang Regency, Pekanbaru, South Lampung, Sikka, Buru, Merauke, West Bandung, Banyumas, Bogor, Cirebon, Bekasi, Agam, Gorontalo, Central Maluku, Mamuju, Padang City, Depok, Karawang, Bandung City, Tasikmalaya Regency, East Seram, Sorong Regency, Jember, Jayapura City, Manokwari, Sorong City, and Jayawijaya. A total of 43 cattle and 149 goats, worth Rp2 billion, were distributed. PT Jaminan Pembiayaan Askrindo Syariah (Askrindo Syariah) distributed four cattle and 35 goats to communities during the Eid al-Adha 1447H celebrations. McDonald’s Indonesia’s ‘McD Berbagi Kurban’ initiative this year operates across 23 locations in 21 cities and regencies within 11 provinces. The kurban ritual during Eid al-Adha is seen as an opportunity to foster communal solidarity and social care within communities. PERUMDA Dharma Jaya has again been entrusted by various institutions and community organisations to slaughter kurban animals for Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah/2026.
