Senior Superintendent Ardiyanto Tejo Baskoro, Director of Narcotics Investigation (Dirresnarkoba) at the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Regional Police Headquarters, has been placed under special assignment (patsus) at the Professional Conduct Division of the National Police Headquarters. The action follows allegations of extortion against two suspects involved in distributing poppers, a controlled substance, namely Jefri Hutasoit and Sutardi Finata.

“Yes, he has been placed under special assignment at the Professional Conduct Division of the National Police Headquarters several days ago,” stated Senior Superintendent Henry Novika Chandra, Head of Public Relations at the NTT Regional Police.

Chandra explained that Senior Superintendent Ardiyanto is currently awaiting the date of an ethics hearing. Meanwhile, the Professional Conduct Division continues its investigation into the alleged extortion case. The NTT Regional Police is not yet certain of the date for the ethics hearing.

“We do not yet know the hearing schedule; we are still conducting deeper investigation and it will be announced later,” Chandra clarified.

Previously, the NTT Regional Police revealed allegations that Senior Superintendent Ardiyanto Tejo Baskoro and six of his subordinates engaged in an extortion scheme. They allegedly extorted two drug dealers distributing poppers, Jefri Hutasoit and Sutardi Finata, with payments totalling 375 million rupiah.

The six officers allegedly involved are Senior Inspector Hadi Samsul Bahri (HSB), First Inspector BB, First Brigadier Oryanto Toni (OT), Brigadier AI, Lance Brigadier LBM, and Constable JG. Senior Inspector Hadi Samsul Bahri has been removed from his position as Head of Operations at Ngada District Police and transferred to the Legal Services Bureau of the NTT Regional Police.

“That is what I obtained from the Professional Conduct Bureau of the NTT Regional Police. The alleged method involved negotiation over assets or bargaining regarding the detention period of suspects,” stated Senior Superintendent Henry Novika Chandra, Head of Public Relations at the NTT Regional Police.
