Jakarta - East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) province has received an allocation of around 11,000 units of home renovation assistance through the Self-Help Housing Stimulus Programme (BSPS) in 2026.

This was conveyed by the Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP), Maruarar Sirait or Ara, during a strategic meeting with Taspen and NTT Deputy Governor Emanuel Melkiades Laka Lena in Jakarta on Tuesday (21/4/2026).

The meeting discussed concrete steps to expand access to housing finance and accelerate the provision of decent housing, particularly for civil servants (ASN) and low-income communities (MBR) in NTT.

Ara emphasised the importance of cross-sector collaboration in addressing housing provision challenges in the region.

She explained that every regency and city in NTT would receive a minimum of 500 BSPS units. With a total of 22 regencies and cities, the assistance allocation reaches around 11,000 units.

“This is a form of the government’s concern to accelerate the handling of uninhabitable houses in the region,” she said.

According to her, the increase in quota is expected to speed up home improvements for the community while driving local economic growth.

“We want this programme not only to repair houses but also to provide economic impacts for the community in the region,” she added.

Meanwhile, Taspen’s President Commissioner Fary Djemy Francis expressed readiness to support the government’s programme through strengthened housing finance services for participants.

“We are ready to support the government’s housing programme, especially in providing easy access to financing for ASN, so they can have decent and affordable homes,” he stated.

NTT Deputy Governor Emanuel Melkiades Laka Lena also conveyed the regional government’s support for the programme.

This meeting is expected to strengthen cross-sector collaboration in accelerating the provision of decent, affordable, and sustainable housing for the people of NTT.
