The Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) provincial government is preparing a scheme for implementing a work-from-home (WFH) policy. This WFH policy for civil servants (ASN) will begin after the Easter celebrations in 2026. “We are still in the process. It will only be enforced after Easter,” said Acting Secretary of the Regional Secretariat (Sekda) of NTT, Flori Rita Wuisan, via WhatsApp message on Wednesday (1/4/2026). As is known, the central government has implemented a WFH policy for one day per week for ASN starting from 1 April 2026. This policy will be applied every Friday, both in central and regional agencies. The policy is being implemented by the government following the impacts of the war in the Middle East. The government is also limiting the use of official vehicles for ASN to 50 percent and encouraging the use of public transportation. Rita revealed that the NTT provincial government will follow the rules set by the central government. According to her, the WFH policy every Friday can only be implemented next week. Because, she said, this week’s Friday (3 April) coincides with Good Friday and offices are closed. “We are following the central rules,” Rita added briefly.
