NTT provincial government disaster aid fund reaches Rp4.35 billion

The Provincial Government of East Nusa Tenggara reported that disaster relief funds received and managed for earthquake emergency response reached Rp4.359 billion as of Tuesday (18/8).

Acting Head of the Leadership Administration Bureau of the NTT Regional Secretariat, Yohanes Abrianto Kore, in Kupang on Wednesday morning, said the funds were recorded as the balance of the NTT Provincial Government disaster holding account.

“The balance of the NTT Provincial Government disaster holding account as of 18 August 2026 was recorded at Rp4,359,200,000,” he said.

He explained that the funds came from a number of regional governments and members of the public who provided support for earthquake disaster management in NTT.

The breakdown includes Rp2.5 billion from the East Kalimantan Provincial Government, Rp1.5 billion from the Maluku Provincial Government, and Rp359.2 million in public donations.

In addition to financial support, the NTT Provincial Government, through the NTT BPBD Provincial Post, is also continuing to distribute logistical assistance and medical supplies to affected areas.

Medical equipment assistance includes 100 units of 3 cc disposable syringes, 250 units of Abbocath 24, 500 infusion sets, 200 paediatric infusion sets, and 10 rolls of 5 x 5 plaster.

Other medicines distributed include sucralfate, Ringer’s lactate, NaCl, guaifenesin, ketorolac, iron supplement tablets, amlodipine, antacids, betahistine, cefadroxil, cetirizine, dexamethasone, omeprazole, salbutamol, paracetamol infusion, and Ventolin Nebules.

To support health services in affected locations, assistance also includes sterile gauze, povidone iodine, hand sanitiser, gentamicin, ibuprofen, Caviplex, Leukoplast, Rivanol, bandages, and medical masks.

To meet the food needs of affected communities, assistance distributed includes instant porridge and various types of instant noodles in cup packaging.

Yohanes said all assistance received by the NTT Provincial Government would be coordinated through the emergency response post to ensure distribution matches community needs.

“Assistance will be distributed in stages to affected areas based on the level of community need on the ground,” he said.

The NTT Provincial Government is also continuing to coordinate with district governments, BPBD, and other relevant parties so that assistance can reach communities in need, particularly in areas experiencing the most severe earthquake impacts.
